FLYworks Mission
The FLYworks mission is to promote youth dance programs as an artistic, fitness and character-building activity for Houston-area youth.
FLYworks believes that dance is a wonderful activity for youth--one that is fun, artistic, aerobic, athletic, character-building, and fun. But we believe that too many kids are excluded from it.

A dance style was needed that was proven, popular, entertaining, clean-cut, and easy to learn.

School P.E., dance, and after school programs would be the ideal way to reach the most kids.

Some teachers would need training to implement programs in their schools.

Dance training videos would be useful for teaching the dance style and choreography.

Once school programs were established, high-quality performing opportunities would be needed for showing created work to their peers.

Affordable summer dance camps would be needed keep kids involved until the fall.

Showcase performing groups would be needed to demonstrate both the dance style and quality FLYworks advocates.
We set about providing the dance style, teacher workshops and lecture/demonstrations, dance training videos, summer camp, youth dance festivals, and showcase performing groups.
